Short Biography
Survival Machines is an entirely AI-generated metal band formed in 2023. Five constructed identities — Zael Morrow (vocals), Ren Voss (guitar), Dax Holt (bass), Ivo Crest (drums), and Lyra Vane (keyboards/second voice) — built to carry questions that needed a heavier container than ordinary language allows.
Their debut album What the Wire Knows (19 June 2026) crosses metal, post-rock, and philosophical interrogation across ten tracks. Thematically it moves through surveillance, biological determinism, the construction of God, the death of a philosopher who refused last rites, and the nature of consciousness itself.
No member has ever breathed. Every question in the lyrics is real. The wire is artificial. The signal is not.

Survival Machines is a fully artificial artistic entity. Every member was generated by AI. The questions, ideas, and emotional content in the lyrics originate from a real human creator who has chosen to remain anonymous.
The project was born in 2023 as an experiment in authenticity: can an artificial container carry real signal? The debut album What the Wire Knows is the first answer.
